| 中文描述 | 起因於瘟疫病毒屬與BVD產生交互作用，持續感染牛隻病毒性下痢病毒的牛和接近污染的懷孕綿羊可能是這種病毒能夠造成綿羊邊境病的重要原因。會造成「hairy shaker」的小羊，並且有先天性的神經畸形。帶原的母羊可能是血清陰性。曾實驗感染於山羊，並當作自然疾病發表，但卻沒有在小羊身上出現的毛髮變化。發現一種小羊由臨床邊境病康復後的慢性下痢和呼吸疾病的徵候群，情況類似慢性牛隻病毒性下痢。由新生小羊白血球中分離病毒診斷。有報告指出，不活化或已死的BVD疫苗也可能讓高危險羊群產生免疫力。邊境病爆發發生在羊隻流產和產下虛弱小羊是唯一的徵兆。 |

| 英文描述 | Due to a PESTIVIRUS which cross reacts with BVD, and cattle persistently infected with Bovine Virus Diarrhea virus and in close contact with pregnant sheep might be an important source of strains of virus capable of causing border disease in sheep. Causes 'hairy shaker' lambs and congenital neurologic malformations. Carrier ewes may be seronegative. Has been experimentally induced in goats and reported as a natural disease, but changes in the hair seen in lambs are absent. A syndrome of chronic diarrhea and respiratory disease in lambs recovered from clinical border disease has been seen, and resembles chronic Bovine Virus Diarrhea. Dx by viral isolation from leukocytes of newborn lambs. There are reports that inactivated or killed BVD vaccines may provide some immunity for sheep flocks at risk. An outbreak of border disease occurred in which abortion and the birth of weak lambs were the only signs. |
